Bottle shared at RBWG 2016. Many thanks to Homer for this one. Dark black / brown coloured pour with a frothy mid tan head. Aroma is woody , light vanilla, some grape, nutty roast. Flavour is composed of nutty roast, dark choc, sherry, grape, wood tannin, vanilla. Palate is dusty, highish carbonation, woody tannin. OK.

Bottle at hotel lobby fart share @RBWG 2016. Thanks pH = 13.99. Opaque black liquid with medium tan head. Aroma of wood, sherry, raw sugar, raisins, caramel, vanilla, chocolate, coffee and light toast. Taste is light to medium sweet and light bitter with notes of Sherry, chocolate, raw sugar, booze and wood. Full bodied with medium carbonation. Nice stuff.

Bottle split in the hotel lobby, RBWG ’16, thanks to Peter 02/02/16. Black with a well appointed tan covering. Nose is rich dark fruits, sherry barrel, toffee fudge, sweet notes, hint of cherry skins. Taste comprises airy malts, sweet tunes, caramelised brown sugar, raisens, figs, plums, cocoa dusting. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with light warming alcohol. Solid BA impy.

Bottle - Dark roast and lots of coffee notes. Deep jet brown with a light brown head. Sweet and light barrel notes with coffee and a bit thin.

Bottle shared during RBWG 2016 - many thanks to Peter. Pours clear, deep brown with a creamy beige head. The nose has heavy espresso, with undertones of baking cocoa, roast. Medium to big sweet flavor with more coffee, some sugary burnt caramel, dried semi-dark fruits, dates, raisins, bread. Full bodied, chewy, with fine carbonation. Warming and sugary on the finish, with more coffee, espresso, earth, dates, cocoa. Novel stuff. A nice sipper.

Flavour is composed of sweet coffee cake, vanilla, praline, earthy roast. Smooth sweet coffee. Palate is medium sweet, highish carbonation. Good coffee character and depth.

Taste comprises coffee cake, sweet malt, dates, raisens, chocolate, light barrel. Full to medium body, fine carbonation, light warming booze in the close. Solid ... nice coffee profile.

Sample at The Brewzaa. Brown-black color with a medium creamy tan head that dissipates steadily to a film. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee. Medium body with a roasty malt and coffee character, with some milk chocolate in the background. The finish is sweet and roasty with a malty aftertaste. Decent overall.

This beer is a brown-black color with a medium light beige head that recedes steadily to a film. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of bourbon, malt and coffee. Full-bodied with flavors of oaky bourbon, roasted malt, coffee and vanilla. The finish is oaky with a bourbon and malt aftertaste. Good beer all around.
