Back at the brewpub for a dinner party at the restaurant section. I picked a few glasses of this brew as a partner to a grilled pork medallion. The food went well with the brown ale. Great foamy retention over a deep red brown body. Vague, but nice aroma of sweet dark fruits. Taste of dark malts and hints of burnt coffee. Notes of hops in the ending. Moderate bodied (13.01.2007).

300ml enjoyed in perfect rating conditions early on a Friday afternoon at the brewpub. Promising appearance with a dark yellow head over a deep dark brown coloured body. Espresso aroma. Roasted taste of coffee beans and chocolate. Short yeasty ending. Nice porter that does not quite opens up as fully as I expected (12.01.2007).

300ml on tap of this award winning beer at the brewpub. Creamy head over an opaque brown-red body. Lambic aroma of raspberries. Sharp acidity in taste with a slight yeasty end. Alright, but still not quite my style (12.01.2007).

100ml on draught at the brewpub while having a nice chat with the brewer Gunnhild and fellow beer rater Hildigöltur.
Dark, golden brown body with only a ring of foam. Hoppy and floral aroma. Rounded taste of bitter sweetness with a lots of succulent oranges that linger all through. Great tasting brew (12.01.2007).

100ml on tap at the cosy brewpub. Inviting clear, dark brown coloured body. Aroma of caramel malts. The flavour is all about dark caramel. Roasted and brittle mouthfeel. Dry ending (12.01.2007).
