Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy golden color, scant white edge head. Aroma of vanilla and straw. Taste is similar, slightly boozy. The barrel masks some of the barnyard characteristics of the base beer, imho.

4oz pour at Churchkey’s Night of the Living Ales 2014. Pours a murky gold with lots of sudsy, lacing white head. Nose is cool, loads of spice, juniper, wood shavings, cedar especially, spruce, white pepper, soap, dried lemon peel. Flavor follows right along, herbal, juniper, mild pepper, straw, a little white flour. Finishes soapy and surprisingly creamy. Really unique.
