Draft at Lion’s Pride. Hazy deep chestnut color, thick fluffy beige head, solid lacing. Aroms of vanilla, toffee, dates. Taste is rich brandied prunes, sweet caramel, vanilla. Very nice.

Tap at Proletariat. Pours reddish amber small head but very flat looking no carbonation. Nose is of wine and vinegar. Tastes of caramel, Pinot, vinegar, vanilla, musk, plums, dark cherries, and light whiskey finish. Decent fun

On draft at Churchkey in DC. Pours a cloudy amber with a thin quickly disappearing white head. Aroma of figs. Flavors of plum, figs, oak and light caramel with a tart bite. Really nice.

On draft at Churchkey in DC. Pours a hazy pale gold with a massive white head. Sour brett aroma. Flavors of tart apple, oak, vanilla and calvados. Wow. Quite extradorinary.

Draft at Churchkey in Washington, DC. Was this an old Gales cask that B United had on hand? Only Greg Engert knows for sure. Draft. Cloudy amber brown color, almost flat. Aroma of vanilla, tannins, port wine, plums. Taste is vinous brandied caramel. Very tasty, whatever it is.

Draft at Churchkey. Cloudy yellow color, fluffy white head. Aroma of vanilla, apples, brandy, cutrus. Taste is brandy forward, but not overly so. Very tasty.

Aroma: The nose of this one had a nice mix of tart/sour, and fruity notes, some apple, and wood

Flavor: The taste was on target with the nose, an interesting and tasty mix of tart and fruity
Palate: The body is medium, and overall, it has a pretty nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: This was an interesting beer. I didn't realize what this series was at the time, but after reading a little more about it, it sounds like a really cool series that B. United has put together. I'll be on the lookout to find more of these.

10 oz tulip glass, draft, at the Louisville Beer Store in Louisville, Kentucky. The pour is a lightly hazed orange, reddish golden with a small light tan head. The aroma is bright tart lemons, some grain wheat, and then the warming red wine of the Zinfandel. The taste is the grape / red wine Zinfandel up front, followed close behind by a zippy lemon tartness, and closing with grass and grain. The palate is med to light bodied, bright carbonation, and tart slightly funky wood finish. Interesting beer, nice character.
