Bottle from Tesco. Poured a crystal clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is floral woody resin hop, light citrus. The flavour is medium bitter with a strong woody hop bitter palate and lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Fine with a curry, but won’t win too many craft beer awards.

UK labelled 355ml bottle from a cut-price supermarket chain (B&M Bargains): poured into a Batemans badged half-pint sleeve on 24th July 2014. Nice hoppy nose, floral and mildly citrus in nature. Light amber body with a non-staying head head. The taste is more malty than the aroma suggests and is initially semi-sweet, however the hops kick in mid-taste and the finish is drying and leaning towards bitter. Nice, easy drinking beer, cheap too.

Bottle from Total Wine in Sacramento, CA. Pours gold with a slight white head. Aroma of both strawberries and apple skins. Med minus body. It’s sort of sweet/tart. Strawberries and apples. Much, much better than expected. Finishes just off dry.

Bottle from Booths, Media City. Black with no head. Lots of fruit in its nose and almost as much in its taste which includes a sticky sweetness.

Draft at old German beer haus in milwaukee. From notes. Caramel and toffee with grains and dank wheat. Not bad, but not great.

Reviewed from notes.
This was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a semi - hazy golden orange color with not much of a head and what was there quickly dissipated within less ten seconds. There wasn’t any lacing.
The smell had some light sweet German malts with a super light hop bitterness way underneath.
The taste was mainly sweet and had a slight sweet cooked apple aftertaste.
On the palate, this one sat about a light on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it.
Overall, not a bad Maibock worthy of having again in Wisconsin Spring evenings.

Bottle. A- Apples, white wine, grapes, sweet, strawberries. A- Golden orange color, clear liquid, minimal head. T- Apples, white wine, grapes, sweet, slightly tart. P- Light body, average texture, average carbonation, sweet finish. O- Pretty sweet and some notes of grapes and wine so it’s not strictly like drinking apple juice. A pretty good cider, although as sweet as it is, one is enough.

Bottle from Lebowskis. Appearance - amber brown and pours a decent head. Nose - toffee and a touch screen orange zest. Taste - more of the same. Palate - light to medium bodied, with a creamy texture and a fairly good finish. Slightly sweet maybe. Overall - solid though not as fresh as I’d expect from US craft.
