So I said in a forum comment not long ago that I was no longer gonna drink or rate crappy beers just for the tick. But here I am drinking this gas station find. But maybe it wasn't just being a rating whore, I was looking for a potential lawnmower beer, mildly in the mood for something new, and this was just sitting there staring at me. For $4 for the 24oz cans, prices these days. But then I didn't even mow my yard, and now its dusk and I'm just sitting here swilling this strongly orange tasting beer. It has notes that remind of orange bumwine of the Cisco or MD 20/20 lineage. It actually looks great in the glass (I sipped out of the can for a bit before deciding to pour). It produced a voluminous creamy head, though it did fade within about 20 seconds. Cloudy orange gold. Nose not so great, somewhat like acidic vomit. Not kidding. But the balance between orange juice, orange wine, and cheap beer in the flavor kinda works out Ok, like its the start of an interesting chelada. Just add some clamato and salt and we've got something.

Bottle at El Pastor, Mexican gaff, Coal Drop Yard, Kings Cross, 20/03/2025.
Golden topped with a white head.
Nose is pale malts, grains, cereals, dull fruit esters.
Taste comprises pale malts, strangely sweet esters, akin to a watered down hefe, grains.
Medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, semi drying close
Not entirely unpleasant for a macro logger if perhaps running overly sweet.

0.33 l bottle. Very pale golden, no head. Non-existent aroma. Sweetish taste with corny notes. Short finish, light body, watery texture. Way too overpriced.

Bottle. Another terrible Mexican beer. Clear gold watery and skunky. Not too bad when you add the lime.

Bottle. Brown bottle Corona is the best Corona. Well balanced lager with a dark golden color and a two finger head. Taste has a nice grain flavor with hints of straw.
