12 ounce bottle. Opaque black pour. Small creamy tan head. Roasted malt nose. Notes of licorice and dark dried fruit. First sip is bittersweet dark chocolate. Hints of molasses, licorice and charred wood. Rich and complex with resiny hops in finish. Very well done. 7.9 ABV is well hidden.

Bottle from The Food Emporium, 8th Ave, NYC. Pours amber with a small lasting off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruits, apricot, banana, citrus, hops, grass, malt and caramel. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average to soft carbonation. Decent brew.

GBBF Day 1. Cask. A 4.8% US IPA? Just when you think you have seen it all ..... Light haze on this gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and dry. Thin dry malts, modest sweetness. Good orange peel and orange hop. Some peel bitterness. Dry finish. Decent but nothing spectacular.

Draft at Black Squirrel. Hazy reddish amber color. Berry aroma. Tart almost medicinal berry taste. Weird.

12 oz. can shared by SideTrackMike. Pours cloudy pale yellow with fluffy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is of funky yeast, bready malt and weak lemon peel. Body is medium and tangy. Taste is sour, tart lemon, pale malt and some hops. Finish is tart but abrupt. Not bad for a sour ale.

Can shared in NH - big thanks to Mike. Pours unclear yellow with a creamy, white head. Ripe lemon in the nose, some biscuits, sourdough bread. Nice flavour, lightly sweet, with juicy citrus fruits, melon, a little piney bitterness, lemon rind. Light bodied with massaging carbonation. Clean finish, with more semi-ripe citrus, more juicy lemon, hay, pale bread, faint grass. Really drinkable beer.

Pours an amber from a can, lots of lacing. Somewhat more citrus then pine aroma, packs a wallop with the same flavors, along with a big sweetness that quickly fades to a bitter finish. Okay beer.
