DESTIHL was founded on the promise of supporting flavor and boycotting bland. We're an independent, production brewery that was established in 2013 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois to brew beyond the confines of typical beers. Our team combines centuries-old global brewing traditions and new American craft brewing ingenuity & artisanship to produce a wide array of beers for every palate. We brew more styles of beer because we have a passion for brewing and because you have a passion for unique, craft beers. The result is a diverse offering of intensely flavorful beers that are anything but bland, from our award-winning WiLD SOUR Series, barrel-aged Saint Dekkera® Reserve Sour Ales and Dosvidanya® Russian Imperial Stout, to our many Belgian-style beers, IPA's, other wood-aged beers, classic styles and exciting seasonals. DESTIHL has become a brand, but we have not strayed from our roots. We take pride in our values and will continue to grow and support our local community. We promise to deliver on these uncompromising beliefs. Every beer we brew is unique. So, whether you share it or hoard it, we hope you enjoy it. After all, you deserve it.

Can to snifter.
Appearance: glossy yellow color with a rapidly dissipating head which did not leave any lace
Aroma: smelled like a lemon bar - rich creamy pastry sweetness and those lemon sour to tart feels
Flavor: semi-sweet but also an ample amount of tart and sour tones help to round it out; mild lemony aftertaste
Texture: between light and medium bodied; mostly a sipper; quick tart abrasion on my tongue but doesn't seem too distracting; finishes semi-crisp but enough of the "lemon bar" character to control the beer
Overall: I like this one, it's like drinking liquified lemon bar, I guess that's what the brewer was going for. I'd bang again preferably on a Spring or Summer night.

Can to English pint glass.
Appearance: dark brown close to black color with a three finger off-white to khaki foamy and bubbly head. Dissipated to leave some light lace.
Aroma: big roasted malt character, some coffee tones, subtle ash/char; some cocoa nibs, sly earthy hop backing
Flavor: moderately sweet with lots of roasty tones, some earthy and toasty qualities; quick roasty aftertaste
Texture: almost medium bodied but seemed to be just a touch under; some sessionability about it; some smoothness but also some roasty grip on my tongue; finishes fairly roasty/ashy and earthy
Overall: not a bad stout, but nothing truly over the top, perhaps again if someone handed one to me.

Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Hazy, spritzy golden. Citric nose. Lightly bodied with clean mouthfeel. Citri with lemon and mild apricot. Tolerable but simplistic modern sour.

Slightly hazy golden yellow with minimal head and moderate effervescence. Dill, cucumber, biscuit malt, and straw aroma. Mildly sweet dill pickle, biscuit malt, mildly sour vinegar, mildly salty, and minimally bitter straw flavor. Good body - nice balance. Way better than I expected.

Can from Total Wine in Vacaville, CA. Pours translucent gold with a moderate foamy white head. Citrus/pine aroma. Med body or better. Sort of a slick mouthfeel. There's enough malt to show, but it's fairly towards dry. Lots of hop, but somehow it's not bitingly bitter. Citrus/pine and white berry. Suddenly some dankness seems to appear. Strong ale!
