Description
At DESTIHL, we brew more styles of beer because we have a passion for brewing & because you have a passion for unique, craft beers. Cheers!

DESTIHL was founded on the promise of supporting flavor and boycotting bland. We're an independent, production brewery that was established in 2013 in Bloomington-Normal, Illinois to brew beyond the confines of typical beers. Our team combines centuries-old global brewing traditions and new American craft brewing ingenuity & artisanship to produce a wide array of beers for every palate. We brew more styles of beer because we have a passion for brewing and because you have a passion for unique, craft beers. The result is a diverse offering of intensely flavorful beers that are anything but bland, from our award-winning WiLD SOUR Series, barrel-aged Saint Dekkera® Reserve Sour Ales and Dosvidanya® Russian Imperial Stout, to our many Belgian-style beers, IPA's, other wood-aged beers, classic styles and exciting seasonals. DESTIHL has become a brand, but we have not strayed from our roots. We take pride in our values and will continue to grow and support our local community. We promise to deliver on these uncompromising beliefs. Every beer we brew is unique. So, whether you share it or hoard it, we hope you enjoy it. After all, you deserve it.

Hazy yellow colour with thin head. It has the typical yeasty notes with some banana esters. Not too sweet though. Well made.

Stovepipe can from The Gull, North Vancouver; canned 02/02/24, 4 months ago
Bright blond colour, with chill haze; medium sized head. Gentle aroma of piney hops. Dry mouthfeel, quite crispy; there is some bread, hay, honey malt; powerful bitterness, up to the classic IPA levels, with strong hop resins; mild salty touch. Modernly brewed, could have a brighter hop character, but it's enjoyable anyway.

Flavour is alcohol, dried fruits, some wooden tones with mild resin as well as some syrup. Kind of high bitterness too along with the dryish wood.
