Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

Not sure if this is terrible because it’s two months past date, or if it’s just terrible.

Poured from the tap @ The Keg. Cloudy dull blonde gold with small white head. Mild citrus and coriander, wheat, inoffensive, but subdued and uninteresting.

473ml can. Pours a hazy gold yellow with a small, creamy, short lived, off-white head that laces. Sweet fruity aroma of bready wheat malt, mango and floral hops. Sweet fruity flavour of grainy wheat malt, mango, orange and floral hops in a sweet finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Juicy, but too sweet for me to have more than one.

Can discovered in the porch fridge in Rio Rancho. Deep gold with a foamy, white head. Goes down like a pale lager with little to no aroma, mixed with 2tbsp granulated artificial mango pulver and 1/2 tbsp sugar. Aroma is artificial mango all the way. Taste is sweet and somewhat cloying, although I’ve had worse. Not refreshing.

12 oz. can. Aroma shows Orange, peel, and pineapple. The flavor is basically Bluemoon wheat with the added pineapple. Texture is dry with a note of juicy pineapple. It’s not interesting but is drinkable.
