Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

19.2 oz. can. Pours a murky orange color, with a big, off-white head. The nose is orange peel, coriander, caramel, and some rose. Sweet and spicy, with a mild, yeasty phenoic note. Medium body, chewy, and a bit grainy. A bit hot, but still quite refreshing and clean.

Hazy golden yellow with nice light tan head. Orange, coriander, wheat malt, straw, and alcohol aroma. Moderately sweet orange, coriander, wheat malt, and mildly bitter alcohol and straw flavor. Okay body.

Bottled. Some blackberries - duh, otherwise pretty damned unimpressive. Not necessary.

Bottle - lol this was a dubbel? It was ok, but I thought it was just supposed to be some weird ale. Interesting to see what coors’ take was on it. The brown sugar was nice. I guess better than regular coors.

Bottled. Kind of a watery pumpkin ale without a ton going on other than a mild pumpken scent.

Can’t believe I haven’t rated this yet. A very average wibier made and massmarked by coors. So ok, w’re done here.
