Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

19.2oz can from Albertsons. Hazy orange golden pour, robust white head. Aroma is orange peel and a hint of alcohol. Taste is bready, orange zest and . Ore pronounced alcohol strength. Not too far off from the original, but with a definite kick.

Undoubtedly the worst of all the blue moon series! Very shitty for this brewer! Its a call to the wannah catch a quick buzz, macro pale lager ice or USA malt likker crowd fer sher. Got this stovepipe 19.2 oz can for less than a buck off the clearance rack at Beaver County Beverage. I said to myself; self, this is a cheap tick for something I aint ticked yet so WTF? Do it! Well, when I pour it, it looks just like a really good hefe, same cloudy pale color and a really nice creamy hefe head. So, I had high hopes. But that's where all the pleasantry ends, hehehehh. The aroma is mildly boozy and a little alarming. Oh my, the first taste is a big kick in the palate, this is nothing like its dad, the original blue moon belgian white. Its blue moon's rosemary's baby. So rude and there aint no orange peel to be found in this child, its simply an alky laced projectile aimed at yer brain. Reminds me so much of of that stupid ass jaguar ice. Blah. In yer face and quite unpleasant. Now I know why it was on the clearance rack, its utterly difficult to drink without stimulating the gag reflex. Seriously folks! My distributor must have become aware of the effects of this brew and is just trying to get rid of this predicament. Almost burns on the way down the gullet, so poorly made. Extra? Extra what? Extra palate chaos? Extra grain alcohol? To label this a belgian white is defamation to the belgians! Its like calling cow manure a fine italian meal. This is a totally boozy happy BS mess. No lie! Yes, ugly, nasty, alky laced crappy bomb fer sher. Talk about ruining the name of a blue moon belgian white? They should have thot twice before releasing this to their customer. Blah! Only good thing about this brew is it's look and it's mind numbing ability. Well, I never.......what a dreadful experience. Sad sad sad.

Pour hazy yellow with a small white head. Smells of spices and citrus. The flavor is too spice dominated at first and gets better as it warms with the wheat and citrus coming through more. It’s not terrible but it’s not something I’d reach for again.

Overly sweet with a cloying back end laced with fake orange flavor and a thick, clingy texture. More sugary mass-market high-ABV gas station big can crap beer.

19.2 oz. can. Pours a murky orange color, with a big, off-white head. The nose is orange peel, coriander, caramel, and some rose. Sweet and spicy, with a mild, yeasty phenoic note. Medium body, chewy, and a bit grainy. A bit hot, but still quite refreshing and clean.
