Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

12 oz bottle. Aromas of sugar, cheese, caramel malt. Pours amber with a thin head, average lacing. Taste is a little sweet, ends slightly bitter. Pretty gross, actually. Full-bodied, though. Probably the worst winter beer I’ve ranked so far. Abbey Dubbel, huh? What a joke.

Pour is a tan with a large white head. Aroma is some slight hops and some caramel. Flavor is a little fruit, spice and again a slight hop comes out. Light but flavorful

I feel like a skit on SNL when Seth Meyers keeps saying. "really?" cause i read the description before i took a sip and saw the words, "abbey ale" on the label, took that sip and said, "really?" then i laughed.

Refrigerated bottle poured into a weizen glass. Pours a light pale cloudy orange with medium head that dissapates fairly quickly, medium carbonation, and descent lacing. The taste is orange and a hint coriander.

750 ml. bottle. Pours a nice hazy orange color with a medium sized white fluffy head. Dissipates quickly. Aroma is orange, spices, yeast. Flavor is the same orange, spice, yeast flavor that Blue Moon has, noticeable alcohol increase. A good step forward for a macro, especially compared to the really fake tasting BL "Wheat" I had this past weekend.

Bottle thanks to mar. Pours with a hazy golden body and a large white head. Aroma of coriander and spice with clove and a dry champagne note. Taste is quite sweet with coriander, clove, and is really not that bad at all. Light to medium carbonation. Dryish finish considering the sweetness. Not bad!

750 ml bottle. 2009 bottle. Faint aromas of banana esters, wheat. Pours hazy gold with a medium white head which dissipates somewhat quickly, leaving a large circular pattern of foam on the top of the beer; it looks like a giant golden eyeball looking at me in my Chimay Trappist glass--or maybe a boob; good lacing. Tastes of citrus, alcohol. Alcohol warms the back of the throat. Somewhat sweet. Full-bodied creamy mouthfeel. Has a bitter finish. Not bad, not great.

Faint babyfood banana and lemongrass aroma. Opaque golden with a thick puffy white head. Strong coriander upfront, volatile at midpalate, stale wheat malt and grass finish. Hats off to MC for making a decent beer. It’s not spectacular, but it is head and shoulders above their usual products.

Draft: Poured a hazy orangey color ale with a small foamy had with average retention and minimal lacing. Aroma of sugary wheat malt with light bubblegum notes. Taste is bit too sweet for the style with some bubblegum notes. Body is about average with good carbonation. Not bad too not spiced enough with too much residual sugar.
