Description
Blue Moon is known for its Belgian-Style Wheat Ale which was created in 1995 by Keith Villa, a brewer at the Sandlot Brewery at Coors Field, Denver. It was originally brewed in the Coors brewery in Golden, Colorado. In the summer of 2016 a new state-of-the-art brewery was opened in Denver’s RiNo District. Since then we have been brewing fan favorites (old and new), and experimenting with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system.

Clear medium brown body, thick cream head. Toasty nose with light caramel notes. Rather delicate, sweet body, with brown sugar and toast notes, finishing with light bitterness. Not very complex or compelling. Better than most macros, but I’m almost appalled this is classified as an Abbey Dubbel.

Sorta dark wheat looking but a little more clear. friendly and mild, great carbonation. Clean taste, not offensive and rather fun. Interesting. Overall I am impressed, lovely. Impressed by it’s manners.

Liked this more than Blue Moons white ale. I like summer wheats and my wife really liked this so imagine i’ll have it again

Pour is a nice amber with a small white head. Aroma is sweet malts with a super artificial citrus. Flavor is weird. Very bitter with some vegitable and copper. Gets unpleasant toward the end. There’s lime in this? Not real good.

Aroma is harsh malty, with some dust and very light lime hops. Not to pleasant. Appearence is nice sparkling copper with a big off-white head that stays. Pretty decent lacing too. The taste starts a bit salty then goes to a bitter/sour hoppy flavor. Somewhat watery. Dry mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours a clear copper color with a medium rising off white head. The aroma is citrus and a light spice. Decent lacing on the glass. The taste is a light malt with lime notes and easy to drink. A good wheat ale from Coors, but not too much going on with it besides the lime.

Bottle:Poured a white yellow with a white head. The aroma is citrus and wheat. The taste is a nice soft citrus not to overwhelming and wheat.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a very large tan head. The aroma was sweet, tangy and a bit tart. The flavor was sweetish, tangy and had a hint of caramel. The finish was long and tangy.

No orange slice, thankfully. Hazy glowing golden color with a medium, thick head. Lightly spicey, sweet malts, citrus fruits. Flavor is sweet malts, orange and citrus fruit, and a touch of spice. Smooth body. Nothing special, but it is refreshing and readily available. I would drink this all night over the normal macros.
