2010 vintage bottle from the back of my buddies "beer fridge"!! This did not age too badly. Typical skunky blue moon wheat with a little roses lime juice. Meh, it was probably much better fresh.

So bashing Blue Moon is fun and productive. We all know that. But can we be objective in the face of scorn aimed at a fake microbrewery? Of course not. But who cares, because, as I said, making fun of Blue Moon is fun and productive. Pours a fizzy, weak amber, with pale edges that hint at its Coorsiness. Smell is piss-beer infused with exotic Keiffer Lime leaves and lime peel, bringing out the freshness of urine in the Spring. Tastes sweet, soapy, with something waaaaay back in the aftertaste approaching a limelike twang. Not much, like an aphid on the back of a rhinoceros on the deck of an aircraft carrier. (4/19/09)

Light and refreshing spring ale. Some caramel and floral spruce in the nose. Rated 8/1/08

12 oz bottle into shaker. Aroma of Sweet-Tarts, cheap grain. Pours amber gold with a medium dissipating head and decent lacework which vanishes three quarters of the way down the glass. Taste is caramel malty with just a hint of lime. Highly carbonated; a bit oily. This beer used to be so much better a few years ago. All of Blue Moon’s seasonals have gone down the toilet as original Blue Moon gains in popularity. It’s like Coors is trying to cater to the masses by making their Blue Moon beers increasingly boring. Their Honey Moon and Harvest Moon (formerly known as just their Pumpkin Ale) used to be excellent as well (the winter one has always sucked as far as I know). All are dull as shit now. What’s up with that, Coors? Wankers...

A golden wheat ale with a thin white head. In aroma, a lightly fruity and esters aroma, solventy. In mouth, a chalky boring wheat...really boring. Tasted at CNY brewfest, Feb. 6 2010.

Pours amber, off-white head. Aroma, floral sent, light citrus hops and fresh lime nose and mild malt. Flavor, sweet and light malts with a tad of caramel. Hints of spiced hops with a cinnamon like impression. Some fresh lime in the finish as well as some malt sweetness with a mild herbal note. Better than expected.

Crisp light copper coloured body with a orange glow and a thin tan head. Aroma of pale malt, rice, light fruits and not much else. Light-bodied; Sharp bitter bad malt taste with almost nothing else going on except for stale sugars, caramel, bitter nuts and a very bad medicinal flavour. Aftertaste shows the beer very badly with only the bittering flavours coming through. Overall, a bad beer and easily the worst from the brewery, and that’s saying a lot! Definitely worth passing up - this is not a wheat nor a beer that’s better than the worst of the macros. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Chevy Chase Wine & Spirits on 15-February-2010, sampled at home in Washington on 21-February-2010.

bottle, pours light carmel with a medium off white head. Strong wheat aroma with light lime zest notes. Flavor is strong wheat and corn with a lime syrup kind of thing in the finish. Not bad, but strange.

17th August 2008. Clear amber beer. A wheat beer but feels like a lager. The lime is pretty subtle and really only noticeable in the aftertaste. Refreshing and subtle.

Overall Impression: I'm not a huge fan of this one, you see it everywhere during the spring (because it's made by Coors) but it's just not very exciting. Kinda weak, and uninteresting.
