Tap @ Crooked Stave. Pours a murky brown appearance with not much head. Aromas of chocolate, caramel, tart dark fruit, plum, dark grape, light bourbon aroma. Really cool, tart dark berry, plum, chocolate, light toffee, tangy fruity flavor. Wow, I really enjoyed this, but granted, I only tasted about four ounces since I had to drive. Looking forward to trying the Cognac (and this one again). Update: bottle split with my brother at Exira Beer Summit III and it was every bit as good as I remember.

Pretty refreshing, well carbonated, blueberry, tart stone fruity, bretty, tart flavor. Quite tasty.

Bottle at Chriso - 25/09/12. Very clouded reddish amber in appearance with a thin off white head that soon clears. Very sour tones on the nose of brett, wood and berry fruits, cherry and raspberries. Taste progresses from the nose but is sweeter than the nose suggested. More brett, light berry fruits, straw, horse dung. Medium bodied with light carbonation and a sharp finish. Really enjoyed this one!

Bottle thanks to Bill at ChrisO. It pours cloudy red, with a medium pink-white head. The nose is raspberry yoghurt, old fart, cherry tunes, creamy, oak and some funk. The taste is tart raspberry, strawberry, lemon, red grapefruit, watermelon, vinous, wood and a hint of vinegar in the background, with a mouth-puckering finish. Medium body and moderate, prickly carbonation. Tart, refreshing and flavoursome. Pretty delicious stuff all round.

Bottle shared with bu11zeye, blackswan and yesper. Pours with a hazed orange hue with low head retention. Aromas are of brett, apricot/nectarine/peach/stone fruit, sharp acid and tannic skins. Lots of vibrant fruit character. Flavors are hugely acidic, peach skins, fruity pulp, tannic (oak and fruit skins), acid, low funk. Lots of tannin, lively carbonation, medium acidic with a low body. Really good!

750 ml bottle purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. The pour is a lightly hazed golden, with almost no head. What exists is white. The aroma is sweet malt, lemon citrus, oak, and a buttery character. The taste is the buttery character up front, hard to tell is this is diacetyl or the oak, more woodiness, a bit of lemon funkiness, and finishing with an herbal sweet malt sourness. The palate is medium bodied, lower level of carbonation, and the buttery finish. Not sure if this was a perfect bottle or not.

750 ml bottle purchased at Joy in Denver, Colorado. Batch 1-11/11. Bottle #465/838. The pour is a very cloudy yellow golden, with a two inch white head that is foamy, and falls slow with larger bubbles. The aroma is leathery dry, citrus hops, and sweet grain malt. The taste is pear fruit, an interesting honey melon sweetness, dry Brett, and a light spiciness from the yeast in the finish. The palate is medium bodied, light prickly carbonation, and a dry finish. I liked this quite a bit.

Bottled shared by a friend. Thanks Nadjeeb! Pours a hazy dark brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of big spruce, tart fruits, earth, chocolate and faint smoke. The taste is citrus, spruce, chocolate, earth and a bitter finish. Medium bodied. Chewy texture. Very much like a brown ale.

Bottle @ Brad’s house Minneapolis. Pours a cloudy, bright yellow orange appearance with an almost non-existent head. Fairly tart, lemon zesty, light banana, vanilla, juicy, somewhat funky, light barnyard aroma. Intense richly tart lemon, lightly oaky, moderately acetic, very tangy, light stone fruit (peach/apricot), moderate coconut flavor with a dry, quite tart flavor. Low carbonation. Pretty tasty but I didn’t enjoy this as much as some of the Reserve Society releases.
