Bottle kindly delivered by Viktoria, thanks so much! Bavarian brewery no.42 Pours dark amber with ff-white head. Clove and burnt malt on nose. Add some banana and you have your feel on tongue. Nothing great really.

500ml shared with Christina during the SafetyFest at the office 😁 Appearance: cloudy golden with a white head. Aroma: malty, some wheat and esters, no banana or spices, unfortunately. Taste: along the same lines mostly, with noticeable clove character, though. Overall: ok, not a great representative of the style IMHO.

.5l at a beer garten in Munich. Pours a cola brown with a huge cap of frothy, off white head. Nose has malt and wheat, carob, yeast, some Tootsie Roll. Flavor has some cola and carob, burnt wheat, yeast, heavy yeast, malty. Off dry finish. Solidly made.

Bottle. Color: Clear dark copper, beige head. Aroma: Malty, caramel. Taste: Malty, caramel, dark malt, hints of chocolate, dark dried fruit and boozy hints. Moderate to over moderate sweet. Moderate to over moderate hopbitterness at finish. Just over medium body, just below average carbonation. Quite nice DoppelBock.
