Description

Bottle. Very fine fresh hop aroma. Smells dry-hopped. Unfortunately it also smells a bit of sour rag and metal. Clear golden colour. Very small white head. OK mouthfeel. Flavour is very bready with the usual strange bitterness. Sweet aftertaste. Hop aroma does not seem to come up in the flavour. Among the best NA pils I have had.

12/13/13/13/12/13

Bottle. Golden colour, big stable white head. Flavour is watery, but quite close to beer. It does have a little acidity/wet rag to the flavour. And the usual strange bitterness that alcohol free beers tend to have. But less bad than the usual. Good grassy and mildly sweet hop note.

Bottle (from semi-frankfurter MoritzF, Danke!) Dark ruby to deep amber coloured, medium-sized off-white head, slowly diminishing and lacing; alcoholic nose, vegetables, molasses in the aroma, too; sweet-malty, a bit fruity and sweet flavour, quite light (!) bodied; short, slightly malty-fruity finish with a faint bitter aftertaste. Not really bad, but a bit one-dimensional.....Kind of a "warsteinerized" Doppelbock !

(bottle) Clear and dark reddish amber colour with a foamy beige medium head. Moderately sweet toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, toffee and a fruity tinge (raisin, peach). Sweet toasted malty taste with toffee and marzipan, almost full bodied with a creamy mouthfeel. Sweet worty malty finish with a dense hop bitter note. Not an outstanding but drinkable Doppelbock.

bottle Clear ruby amber colour with a medium-sized foamy slightly off-white head. Toasty and caramel-malty aroma. Sweetbitter flavour, medium too light bodied, smooth mouthfeel. Sweet toasted malty taste with caramel and a vegetable note. Sweetbitter, slightly hoppy and quite thin finish. This Alt (from the river Main and not the Rhine) is way too sweet for my kind of taste.

Bottle ( bought by MoritzF): Amber to copper coloured, stable, medium-sized off-white head, sticking to the glass; sweetmalty nose, a tinge of molasses and caramel; quite dry malty, nutty flavour; in the finish some faint fruitiness and some bitterness coming very late. A mild, well drinkable Alt, pleasant............................

Bottled. Orange, unclear beer with a large, dense white head. Low carbonation. Frauity aroma with some banana. Flavor has some cloves too. Fizzy and creamy in the mouth. Nice and refreshing weissbier. (051210)
