Draught at Lord Hobo, 3/19/15.
A slightly hazed brassy body is topped by a small white head that retains at cover.
Peachy hop notes abound with some strong malt undertones; light sugar cookies and some lychee and hickory nut skin that adds a needed dryness. Moderate tropical fruits begin to emerge but there is some alcohol dryness that works against it.
Bracingly bitter hop notes are displayed across a nicely attenuated body. The hops are fresh, juicy and very forward, but the bitterness is very aggressive on the finish with the old resin burn hurting the drinkability. Dosent hit that lush, almost sweet hop flavor that the best doubles have and while the alcohol is controlled, the acidity is just over the top.

[2/13/15] Draught at Rogue Ales Public House in San Francisco. Clear amber. Nice hoppy aroma, dank and fruity. Bitter hoppy flavor, “green”, with some fruitiness and some malt backbone, not too sweet. Medium-bodied.

With a name like Dank & Sticky, this is rather disappointing.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours amber gold with an off-white head. Aroma is rather dank. Med + body. Flavor is a bit dank, some mild caramel, and some earthy resin, bitter hop. I’ve had hoppier, and more bitter, but this is hoppy and bitter! Somehow it’s mellow, despite all the flavor. Quite nice.

Sampled on draft at Caliente this beer poured a caramel-amber color with a large foamy off white head that left exceptional lacing. The aroma was tangya dn sweet pine. The flavor was tangy and sweetish pine and a touch of earthy hops. Turns dry on the meidum length earthy and pine finish. Moderately full bodied. Decent.

22 oz. bottle, pours an opaque dark orange with a medium white head. Nose brings out dank resinous hops and dry caramel malt. Flavour is robust, with a barrage of resinous dank hops, dry bready malts and a pretty high but pleasant bitterness. Loads of dank hops dominate. Wonderful stuff.

Pours rather unclear, slightly orange . No real head . Smell is hoppy , with a mango tone , very fruity ( like fruitjuice almost ) Taste is bitter up front , turns very full on fruits in aroma . So much aroma that you get a foggy , fruity tastesensation which is hard to sescribe . A crazy mix of all kinds of fruits you can imagine to find in hops .
