Description
The Verhuisbrouwerij is a hobby brewery of a few amateur brewers who move their brewery for a day every month to give brewing demonstrations. This part is to be seen as homebrew. Next to that, some batches are brewed at a bigger ( commercial) scale in another brewery. For these, official beers, De Verhuisbrouwerij is a client brewer.

Bottle from a gift.
A: hazy dark brown, quickly thinning, tan head.
A: used coffee filter, milk, raisin, old chocolate.
T: sweetish raisin, sourish blackcurrant, brown bread, milk.
F: vague earthy hops, bitter coffee pad, sourish berry, soft vodka-like alcohol.
P: medium body, watery texture, fizzy carbonation.
Seemed interesting, but completely lacks structure. Bad batch perhaps, or aimed too high?

Thnx to Niki ! Sampled 2 batches side by side - the cognac-based label and the new one.

Cognac based label (older batch) Pours an unclear browned chocolate. Scent is is medium intense, herbal caramel, chocolate. Earthy notes. Don't really get the cognac. Taste is sharp, herbal, earthy, caramel, tad sticky. Weird bitterness that doesn't match the beer. cognac is unidentifiable. would rate 6.5

New label : Similar, but less caramel, more sharp (herbal). Taste is similar, bit more on the cognac here. Better balance, less cloying. The better of both batches. would rate 7.3

Average of both is 6.9.
