Dorpsbrouwerij de Pimpelmeesch was zo’n 20 jaar geleden één van Nederlands eerste craftbrouwerijen, de kleine en lokale brouwerijen die je de laatste jaren steeds meer ziet verschijnen. Dat brouwer Ad Kusters, creatieve man met een scheikundige achtergrond, daarmee een echte trendsetter zou blijken te zijn, wist hij toen nog niet. Hij wist wèl wat hij wilde met zijn brouwerij: mooie, herkenbare bieren brouwen met een constante hoge kwaliteit.

Hazy golden colour, firm white head. Malty aroma, yeast. Quite full body. Sweet malty flavour. Finish malt and yeast. Nice.

Bottle, as Dubbel D Chaams Winterbier. Dark brown color. Caramelly maltaroma with cinnamon. Malty sweet, caramelly alcoholic flavor with hints of spices and coffee. A bit too simple to be good.

Vurige Non, says the label on the bottle. Murky brown color. caramel, licorice and a hint of milk chocolate in the aroma. Malty sweet, caramelly flavor with licorice. Thin. Disappointing.
