Description

Bottle, 75cl, shared by Papsoe. A gusher, producing an unclear, golden body and a diminishing, off-white head leaving lacings. Sweet, slightly spiced nose with some alcohol and notes of sourness. Sweet, nicely spiced and bitter flavor with fruityness. Dry, warm and effervescent. Pleasant finish with sweetness, spices and bitterness. A nice beer, pity it seems to be a bit off. (090514)

Bottle. Violent Gusher. Pours with a huge, rocky white head over a murky pale orange body. Aroma of orange peel, biscuit, dried fruits, pear, honey and hay. Taste is earthy with a muted hop bitterness, citrus, green pepper, freshly baked bread and a touch of candi sugar. Dry mouthfeel with low residual sugars. Effervescent carbonation. Small bubbles.

Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of malt, caramel, yeast, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, dusty hops as well as lighter notes of yeast and spices. The body is a bit on the thin side, but it is an OK Belgian beer. Thanks yespr for sharing.

750 ml. 2008 bottle. Large, frothy white head that lasts atop a cloudy, deep gold body. Aroma of toasted grain, celery, herbs and a hint of mustiness. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly sweet and moderately bitter with a slight lemon taste and tartness. A bit peppery in the background. Moderate acidity and dry as it should be. Medium body with a smooth velvety texture. Lively carbonation. Well put together and very tasty and refreshing.
