"De Glazen Toren Canaster Scotch Ale", 75-cl-Flasche von Drankdozijn.nl. - Sehr dunkles Rotbraun, üppiger und beständiger dunkler Schaum. - In der Nase fettes Wiener und Dunkelmalz mit fülliger Süße, Mokkaschokolade, Trockenobst und massive belgische Hefe von leicht schriller Frucht. - Antrunk wuchtig massiv dunkelmalzig mit feiner, gar nicht übermäßiger Malzsüße, Bitterschokolade, Nuß, etwas Trockenobst (Pflaume), zart herb-säuerlich. Eine feine Gewürznote bleibt sehr dezent, auch Lakritz läßt sich (zum Glück) eher ahnen als schmecken. Wenig rezent, schwer und vornehm gleitet es über die Zunge. Im Abgang solide Malzbittere, leicht kühlende Anklänge von Menthol und gar nicht so knappe aber angesichts dieser Malzumklammerung klar zur Statistenrolle verurteilte Hopfung. - Enorm malzschweres, sehr dezent gewürztes und gar nicht so süßes, angenehm rundes Scotch Ale.

Bottled (2026), from Systembolaget. Gushing. Clear golden with lively head. Generous aroma of floral hay. Mid sweet with medium to full body and well rounded mouthfeel. Spicy, floral hay, mild marzipan and and husky malt. Warming mid bitter finish.

11.2oz bottle. Vibrant, massive carbonation, mouthfeel. Zesty, estery, medium body...some funky barnyard tones underneath. Horseblanket, earthy grains. Perfect champagne body carries it far. Excellent beer.

33cl bottle from Hamilton Super BuyRite. Hazy orange gold pour. Large pillowy white head is substantial. Spicy hop aroma. Some floral notes. Flavor is sweet, earthy malt and spicy hops. Notes of coriander, dried apricots and estery yeast. Some pithy, peppery notes in finish. Light and refreshing, despite the 8.5% ABV.

(Bottle, Nüetnigenough, Brussels, 19 Sep 2025) Hazy golden colour with dense, white head. Fruity, spicy nose with dried fruit, coriander, herbs and candy sugar. Fruity, spicy taste with notes of citrus, dried pineapple, coriander, herbs, marzipan and a balanced spicy bitterness. Almost full body, with a certain sweetness. Tasty and well balanced tripel. Very nice.
