Clear pale yellow beer, creamy off-white head, little stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: sweet, very malty, some banana, hay, grains. MF: ok carbon, light body. Taste: pretty watery, malty, bit sweet, hint of citrus, soft bitterness. Aftertaste: little bitter, malty, sweet touch. Meh. Tanzania: check!

Clear golden colour, white head. Malty aroma, hops and straw. Malty flavour, hops and straw. Finish straw and malts. German style lager, nothing too exciting but overall decent. And another country to the list.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Maierovicz’s place. Thanks Niva and Chula. Clear golden. Aroma has some graininess and a note of hay. Sweetish flavor with light graininess and a drier finish with light bitterness. Light-bodied. Pretty non-offensive.

Hellgelb, kein Zucker, nur Maisstärke als verdächtige Zutat neben Malz! Der Antrunk ist neutral mild, malzig-leicht trocken. Zum Hauptteil kommen malz-milde Aromen hervor, insgesamt aber recht neutral-malzig-metallisch. Der Nachgeschmack ist metallisch-neutral, leicht malzig, aber ok!

Goldene Farbe, malziger Geruch. Der Antrunk ist würzig-malzig, leicht herb. Der Hauptteil ist würzig-mittellang, voluminös und leicht trocken. Im Nachgeschmack ist das Bier mitellang, würzig-herb-wässrig-trocken, leicht metallisch!
--> etwas langweilig, aber trotz Maisstärke und Zucker ein recht trinkbares Bier!

2010 hat es laut Werbung auf der Dose den «Grand Gold Quality Award» der Monde Selection gewonnen... Auf jeden Fall klingen die Zutaten mal nach Reinheitsgebot. Dunkelgold mit malzigem Geruch liegt es im Glas. Der Antrunk ist würzig-malzig, vollmundig. Zum Hauptteil wird das Bier leicht süßlich, vollmundig-würzig-mild. Im Nachgeschmack zeigt sich eine vollmundig-malzige Note, die mitellang hält und leicht trocken wirkt. --> von den drei tansanischen Bieren heute Abend war es das Beste. Ob es nun wirklich keinen Mais enthält vermag ich nicht herauszuschmecken, aber deutlich besser als die anderen tansanischen SAB Miller-Produkte ist es allemal.

Bottle at Africa House in Zanzibar. Golden in colour. Large, white head that quickly diminishes. Some hop aroma and taste. Slightly crude bitterness, short aftertaste. A decently refreshing pilsner to enjoy when the temperatur outside lingers at 30 degrees.
