Almost no head, deep brown to balck beer, cola-like carbonation. Rich, sweet, woody, chocolate... and then "some" coffee. Coffee on wood? Sweet coffee in the flavour, coffee beans, mocha; bitter chocolate retronasal. Sweetness keeps hanging around, setting off the ultra-dry woodflavour nicely. Medium to well-carbonated. Quite thick MF, almost voluptuous. Very good, in fact. Sweet, but more than interesting enough. And it keeps the interest alive, which is not that common in I.S.

12 oz. bottle, pours a cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma brings out lots of smoke. Flavour brings out nice notes of smoke, light farmhouse notes, and some thick caramel. Nice and smoky, with a thick palate. Decent beer.

Bottle - Sweet fruity esters, apricot, peppery and sweet yeast. Clearish gold with a rich white head. Smoke and peat with some yeasty sweetness. Odd.

Bottle split in Craigs room, Tulip Bodegraven, post Borefts day 2 wind down 27/09/14. Light black with little in the way of a head. Nose is big on coffee, spice, chocolate, big coffee grinds, roasty notes. Taste comprises more coffee, dark roastings, chocolate, molasses. Medium + body, fine carbonation, semi drying close laced with earthy roastings. Decent enough impy.
