Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a cloudy dark brown with a thin tan head. The aroma is dominated by the yeast. The flavour is medium bitter, yeasty, with a slightly oily, acidic feel to the palate. The bitterness lingers for a while into the aftertaste. A super satisfying beer!

33cl Bottle from ABC Beers. Hazy dark brown colour, off-white head. Aroma of yeast, ripe fruits like banana and red apples, dark fruits, not very hoppy. Flavour is sweet, malty, fruity, yeast, ripe dark fruits, light hoppy bitter with a hint of liquorice. Light to medium-bodied. A fruity and yeasty Belgian ale in my book.

Bottle from ABC Beers Den Haag. Poured a dark brown colour with a slightly reddish hue and a huge frothy tan head. The powerful aroma is of malt and caramel. The flavour is medium bitter with liquorice and dark chocolate. A very tasty beer of which I have consumed many.... just to gauge the consistency of course :-)

Sampled @ PINT Winterbierfestival, Gouda 2012. Cloudy hazy amber brown color, decent sized off-white head. Smell lightly malts, sweet and lightly hoppy. Taste malts, lightly hops, lightly bitter. Average carbonation and body. Decent.

Bottle @ home. Pitch black opaque color, small to medium sized light brown head. Don’t smell anything, beer might be too cold or I might have a cold. Taste malts, lightly dark and roasted malts, slightly coffee and bitter. A bit flat though. Nothing really wrong but overall a bit flat. Decent carbo, low to medium body.

Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A dark brown beer with a firm, dense, beige head. Roasted malts, coffee, some buttery cocoa hints and a touch of dried fruits on the nose. The flavor has coffee, roasted malts, cocoa and butter, some dried fruits blend in. Full-bodied, a bit heavy on the carbonation. Lasting vegetal, roasted coffee finish. A strange one indeed, not very well crafted either. 110128
