Tap at Brouwcafe, Scheveningen: Hazy orange colored brew with dry bitter taste and hints of southern citrusfruits. Don’t know this is version I or version II, so rated the beer at this entry.

Bottle. Brown color. Nutmeg and caramel in the aroma. Sweet, spicy flavor with nutmeg, cardemom and caramel. Slightly alcoholic, medium bodied. Not really a bock, but certainly drinkable.

Thank you kermis! 330 ml. bottle sampled. 2010 Vintage. Dark brown, little tanned head. Nose is clear oxidation, herbal, forest & leave oxidation notes mixed with some bark, herbal, licorice base. Body is bit fizzy, clearly showing age. Taste is clear oxidation, oxidized fruit, forest leaves, some bitter plaster, oxidized fruit. Too much oxidation for me but not all bad with some Belgian styling, would have picked this one for a Belgian Ale & not a Porter. That is either age or Klein Duimpje stylings, possibly both. Or just my pallet.
