Bottle. Poured clear amber with thin to medium white head. Almost no lacing. Aroma of malt and basil. Much basil in the flavour, with some honey notes. Middle of the tongue finish. Good to try, but for me, not to make a habit of. Good on warm day.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Total Wine in Richmond, 7/1/09, my first beer of July, which is a completely meaningless piece of information.
Aroma: Nice mix of caramel, earthy hops, citrus fruits, a little honey
Appearance: Poured a nice looking cloudy caramel like orange-brown color, with a huge frothy off-white head
Flavor: Nice hop flavor with a pretty big sweet malt backing, and finishes with a bit of an odd tang
Palate: A decent mouthfeel, nice medium body
Overall Impression: I liked this one, it's pretty interesting, and it does a nice job of bringing malt characteristics to a IPA, something in the end palate just didn't work quite right, so I deducted a bit off the flavor for that, otherwise, it was a really nice beer.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of yespr/Ungstrup. Slightly hazy amber golden with a creamy off-white head that leaves some lacework. Aroma of caramel and a little fruit. Medium body, sweetish fruit and caramel, some peachiness and a fairly bitter - if somewhat unrefined - finish. 120609
