500 ml bottle. Pours black with medium whitish head. Aroma of chocolate powder and cereal. Metallic slightly sour taste up front with light acidic coffee notes to follow and slight bitter finish. Not spot on and not one to repeat.

This stout poured a deep black colour with a med brown coloured head. To the nose there are scents of coffee, caramel, cocoa and a little vanilla. First sip was full flavoured with tastes of coffee, caramel and roasty malts. Finish was really burnt with black coffee flavours lingering.

This Dunkel poured a dark amber colour with a tan coloured, foamy head. Tot eh nose there are scents of caramel, ripe fruit, a little cocoa and rich malt. First sip had a slightly watery mouthfeel but rich in flavours of ripe fruit, light caramel and vermouth. Finish was slightly bitter with very distant hops.

This porter poured a deep black colour with a big, bold, tan coloured head. Light lacing with scents of caramal, coffee, cloves and a faint hint of vanilla. First sip was smooth and flavourful but not as thick a mouthfeel as expected. Flavours of coffee, molassass and burnt brown sugar most prodominant. Finish is extra malty with coffee flavour lingering with a light hop taste. Very nice!

Bottle from The Met Liquor Store, New Westminster, BC; when I had it apparently it was brewed by Northampton and not Picaroons
Amber color, hazy, with creamy head. Mild aroma of caramel, butter, earth, manure. It has a round mouthfeel, a good caramel and toffee flavor, with evident but not disturbing butter, bold bitterness, and a good share of hop resins; it also has a limited fruity contribution from the hop. Long final.
A solid brew, bold, pleasant, with a personal character.

Cloudy deep blond color, with orange reflex and with generous and persistent head. The aroma is very nice, earthy, with some manure, a British promise, followed by zesty coriander, of Belgian memory. It has a good body; some malt flavor and very light cereals, but missing some more interesting character; bold hopping, not spectacular but at least delivering some pale citrusy emotion. The final is long and bitter, but also simple.
If only they could translate some of the aromatic components all along the perception angles of this beer..

Hazy amber, creamybeige head. Huge diacetyl nose, same but somewhat less in palate.Nothing but hops and diacetyl, one dimensional, lacks malt balance. The only reason it scored this high was due to the appearance.
