Draft. A dark brown beer with a red shine under a brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of diacethyl - I think something is wrong. The flavor is sweet malty with strong notes of diacethyl and fruit as well as lighter notes of roasted malt and vegetables, leading to a slightly dry adn roasted finish - after the diacethyl resides. Something is wrong with this beer.

Draft. A hazy deep red beer with a orange-brown head. The aroma is sweet and very fruity as well as light notes of alcohol, spices, and diacethyl - reminds me more of an ale than a lager. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of alcohol and berries, as well as a light touch of diacethyl, leading to a dry fruity finish. Not as clean as a lager usually is - reminds me more of an ale.

Draft. A slightly hazy golden beer with a white head. The aroma is sweet with notes of Apollo yeast and a light touch of phenol. The flavor is sweet with stronger notes of phenol as well as the Apollo yeast - is this a yeast flaw? something is wrong.

(On tap) Black and opaque with a creamy, light brown, cappuchino style head leaving a broad and pretty curtain of laces. Lightly burned malt aroma. Medium body with a solid base of hard roasted malt and distinct notes of sweet licorice. Dry finish with some bitterness deriving from both malts and hops, A vague ashy touch in the finish also. 121007

From tap at the brewpub. Pours golden orange with a chalkwhite head with medium bobbles, lasting. Mild hoppy and cornish/cereal aroma. Slight diacetyl flavour, followed by a mild cornish yet somewhat dry malt flavour. The butterish note unfortunately lasts all the way through to the finish. Not much bitterness in the finish, but a slight citric note and rather soft malty....I couldn’t finish it :(

RB DK #700. From tap at the brewpub pours deep brown to black with dense light brown and lasting head. Thick roasted malt, liqourice, dark toffee - dry and slight dusty. Mild liqourice flavour which gradually increases in intensity towards the finish. Rather smooth liqourice. Soft finish with a mild blend of some vague bitterness and liqourice smoothness. Nice although somewhat simplistic and with that classic Apollo diacetyl note (although minor).
