Draft. A hazy copper colored beer with a medium off-white head. The arom ais slightly smoked combined with notes of fruits just beginning to rot. The flavo ris sweet with medium notes of smoke and bacon, with an underlying note of acidity, leading to a very sparkling finish. Remove the acidity and this beer would be really good.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours almost clear orange with a dense off-white head. Aroma clearly gives away that this is a smoked, quite meady aroma. Flavour is medium sweet with a rather smooth mouthfeel and a nice meady smoke note lingering on top, not much else but seems clean of diacetyl (perhaps smoke is the solution). Soft lingering malty finish with a decent bitterness.

From tap at the brewpub. Pours slight hazy and slight brown with a light brown dense head. Aroma is mild caramel but also unmistakenly Apollo butterish. Medium sweet, caramel malt and butterish flavour which softly lingers into the finish. Holds a bit of bitterness in the finish. Not much bock about this one imho.

From tap at the brewpub, listed as Apollo bryggeriets jule stout 7.0%. Pours dark brown yet not cloudy. Head is off-white and fully diminished. Dark roasted malt aroma with a mild butterish note. Very soft mouthfeel with almost no carbonation. Flavour is mildly sweet caramel and roasted malt with a nice liqourice note blending in. A coffee note lingers on top of it all. Finish holds a lingering note of the same but is slowly softend out by a chocolate note and a mild bitterness. Well done.

From tap at the brewpub, 6.4 alcohol %. Pours slight hazy and orange with a dense white head. Dry hoppy, mild floral note, aroma with a solid malt note. Quite heavy carbonated. Flavour is bitter and caramel malty without becoming sweet as such. Solid bitterness in the finish.

(On tap) Clear, orangey brown with a creamy, beige head. Surprisingly discreet aroma - a whiff of roasted malt perhaps. Good, full body - again this smooth mouthfeel from a rather low carbonation. Sweetish, roasted malt accents with a light, underlying fruity sweetness and a vague, burned edge. A discreet bitterness in the finish. Fairly harmonious. 301107

(On tap) Clear, warm amber golden with a creamy, beige head that leaves some lacework. Sweetish, malty aroma with a tiny whiff of butter. Quite full-bodied with a very soft mouthfeel and a rather low carbonation. The malt base is quite solid with very sweet, fruity accents - probably the palm sugars are making their impact here. Everything is nicely balanced by a solid bitterness. 301107
