Dark red with a short-lived white and bubbly head. Weak, malty and bready aroma. Sweetish, and well balanced malt and hops in the flavour, but weak and boring

2007-11-01, draught at Lord Nelson, Copenhagen, 6.3% ABV, 5-2-6-2-11
Blond color. Sweet aroma, light fruits. The flavor is as a sweeter lager, having some fruit touch and hidden hop too.
2003-11-29, draught, 6.6% ABV, 3-2-4-2-8=19
Pale clean yellow color. Very light malty and fruity aroma. Sweetish lager, very poor character.

The aroma is hoppy and sour - the sourness probably coming from the added vitamin C. The color is a slightly hazy pale yellow. It has a fine bubbly but fast disappearing head. The flavor is sweet with notes of straws and sourness. It ends on an OK bitterness. An OK low alcohol beer.

A dark brown beer with no head. The aroma is malty, lightly roasted, and sweet. The flavor is soft, lightly roasted with notes of brewmash and straws. An OK beer but pretty average. It lacks bitterness, character, and is too thin.

Hancock Påskebryg Tripelbock, 10.6% ABV
Gold color. Malt and alcohol nose, with a fruity note. Excellent mouthfeel: malty and no alcohol, oily, sweet. Powerful final. A real King; to drink when you want to feel like a Viking!

Bordeaux shine through deep brown. Slight brown head, immediately gone. Dark malts, sugar and dark brandy in the nose. Fruity nose, too. Taste: yes! - this is nearly perfect balance. A rich, sweet malt taste, balanced by fruitiness suggesting acidity, just a touch of bitter, like a sweet, but quality piece of chocolate. I think I can detect some Maillard, too. Truly pity about the non-existent carbonation. It would realy achieve perfection. Whatever, it's truly a top-Scandinavian.

A yellow beer with no head. The aroma is slight but sweet. The flavor is sweet - with a good malt flavor for a pilsener. Very light of a beer that holds 6.6% abv (as mine did)

A dark yellow beer with an OK head. The aroma is malty sweet and a slight note of sourness. The flavor is nice sweet malty but with no real bitterness. Very filling for a pilsener style beer.

Chestnut brown; alcoholic, phenolic aroma. Palate is of molasses and dark malts, stiff alcohol and nuts. Big beer for chewing on. Black rye bread enters the picture, a bit more booze in the finish and you're done. An odd beer - I can't really think of anything like it.

Light copper hue; strong alcohol and candy apple nose; stiff shot of alcohol opens the palate. There is some malt underneath, but you do kind of have to look for it. "Beware the local firewater."
