Appearance: dark amber/brown color with a quickly dissipating off white foamy head which didn't much lace
Aroma: rich dark malts - very bready, milk chocolate & dark chocolate, red delicious apples, and a little bit of toasted nuts
Flavor: meshes the prior noted aromas to a fine sweet and rich malty quality; lingering finish of rich dark maltiness
Texture: medium bodied, leaning towards being a sipper; extremely smooth along the tongue
Overall: what a lovely doppelbock! I would very much love to have this again.

Medium brown color, no head. Intense woody aroma. Lightly sweet malt taste, earthy and woody flavors. Crisp, dry finish.

Tap. Amber-brown in color with a small head. Aroma is malty and fruity. Taste is fruit cake with a slightly sweet finish.

Tap. Just a great beer. Bourbon in color with a light lace of a head. Aroma is complex with layers of malty dried fruit and hints of pipe tobacco and vanilla. Taste is juicy fruit cake with layers of complex favors upfront, in the middle and in the finish.
