oranjegeel bier met weinig schuim. Smaak is Zoet, kruidig en bitter hoppig met iets van honing, sinaasappel en iets van kaneel. Smaak blijft erg lang hangen. Voor mij een toppertje dit bier.

Goudkleurig bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag. Smaak is bitter hoppig, licht zoet en kruidig met iets van mandarijn en een vleug citrus.

Thuis uit een flesje. Mooie goud, oranje kleur. Mooi schuim, verdwijnt wel snel. Smaak, fris, bitter, zoet. Een prima bier.

On tao @ the Duits & Lauret brewery, Everdingen. Clear very dark brown with a beige head. Wonderful malty smoky aroma and semi-sweet taste. Leathery notes and some dark caramel and roasted malts in the finish. Owner told me this one is a re-creation of the Tevreden MMXIII but that one had an ABV of 7% so recipe seems slightly tweaked.

On tap @ the Duits & Lauret brewery in Everdingen. Clear dark amber to rubybrown with an off-white head. Caramel aroma with some hops and leathery notes. Taste is medium sweet with a rich malty bitter finish. Altbier is not the most extravagant beer style out there but when it is done as good as this it's a pleasure to drink.

Tap @Foeders, Amsterdam, with Joost. Deep dark brown colour with a red hue, good frothy tan head, good retention and lacing. Aroma roasted malt, caramel, milk chocolate, coffee. Taste medium sweet and bitter, roasted malt, milk chocolate, coffee, fruity notes. Short roasty sweetbitter aftertaste, medium body, ashy notes, oily texture, soft carbonation. Tasty and easy to drink, all in all very good.
