A deep dark stout with a thin mocha head. In aroma, beautiful sweet chocolate malt with dark fruits, bourbon barrel, light treacle, maple, alcohol warmth, very nice. In mouth, a nice smooth chocolate malt with dark fruits, light bourbon barrel notes, alcohol warmth, very nice and subdued. 5 years old.

On tap at Ebenezer's, pours a dark amber with a small white head. Aroma brings out dark fruits, Belgian yeast and toffee. Flavour is along the same lines, with authentically expressed Belgian yeast, with clove-like esters and toffee. Spicy and moderately sweet, with a nice spicy yeast finish. Excellent.

On tap at Ebenezer's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out abrasive bourbon barrels, with a bit of peat and a robust roast backbone. Flavour is rich as hell, with loads of bourbon barrels upfront, backed with a light roast and a touch of peat. Decadent and well-rounded. Delicious.

On tap at Ebenezer's, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dry espresso, rich roasted malt and some dusty cocoa powder. Flavour follows through, with rich roasted malt, cocoa powder, and light espresso. Rich and full-bodied, with everything in proportion. Excellent.

Pours clear blonde, small white head. Smell is bit yeasty, mild hops. Taste is yeasty , mild hops, easy drinker ( surprised to see this is 10 ABV ) bit sweet. Nice take on a classic style !

Sample at Ebenezers. Pours inky black with a medium creamy tan head and nice lacing. Aroma is espresso, mocha, vanilla, roasted malts, hints of amaretto. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter. Medium plus body, soft mouthfeel. Kinda hot but otherwise excellent.

At the source: pours light copper with a white head. Aroma is piney and citrusy and herby. Taste is mostly pine needles with a light note of citrus. Not really a freat pine profile either. Plenty drinking.

At the source: pours bright reddish with a white head. Aroma is dark fruitiness and sugar. Not too sweet. Candy, bubblegum, sugar. Yet not overly sweet.
