Shaker pint draft at Rocky River Tap and Table in Mishawaka, Indiana. The pour is a hazed orange gold with a small foamy white head. The aroma is wheat grain, clove, banana and a bit of orange citrus. The taste is a nice blend of the hefeweizen notes of clove, banana and citrus and the wheat grain. The palate is unfiltered, light to medium bodied, soft carbonation and a lingering clove citrus finish. Solid Hefeweizen.

Pours hazy pale gold with minimal head. The aroma is of banana and clove. The flavor is of citrus, clove, yeast, wheat, and a little banana. It’s light bodied. Even as it warms it seems watery. Otherwise it’s pretty good.

On tap at MBGSF 2018. Pours a hazy brown with an off-white head. Malty toffee, caramel aroma. Flavors of malty toasty caramel, toffee, some hop bitterness. A very nice malty barley wine.

Poured into an English pint glass, the appearance was a semi-burnt copper to almost amber color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that glistened and fell off at a decent pace. Slight messy lace.
The aroma had some semi-sweet malty biscuit tones flowing over some toast and an earthy malty quality. Light earthy spice.
The flavor blends the previously mentioned aromas together fairly nice and consists of a fair malty aftertaste and quick finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a pretty good sessionability about it. Fairly low carbonation and an embracing ABV that seems to stick to what the brewer projected.
Overall, worthy ESB of having again.
