Description

King's Caffe pubs' production branch, starting by brewing at Vizir in Slovenia in 2017. In 2019, opened its microbrewery - Indeficienter, at Vere Bratonje 28 in Rijeka. In February 2022 moved its production to the King's Brew Brewpub at the former Rijeka main train station (Trg kralja Tomislava 1). All King's Caffe locations other than the Kolodvor brewpub separate under new ownership since 2023, with the brewpub being bought out to be refurbished in 2024.

Do not confuse with the separate King's Caffe brewing entity.

Tap at the brehwouse, Rijeka. A rather decent IPA to be honest. Darker colour. Nice hops. Very easy going. Easy sinker.

Bottled 500ml. -Courtesy of hrabren, shared with Marko & him. Golden coloured, medium sized white head, diacetyl in the nose. Also in the taste strong diacetyl with notes of grain and wet cereals.

0.5l bottle, thx Dina for getting it and thx Hrabren for sharing it with Ogi and me! Clear golden body, off-white head. Buttery, caramelly aroma, heavy diacetyl. Bit rancid grainy sweet buttery taste. Borderline atrocious - it looks good and the mouthfeel is fine, which saves it for a 1.something score, but barely. Rijeka deserves better and so does Fiume.

0.5 l bottle thanks to Dina who brought it from Kvarner, shared with Marko and Ogi. Clear golden to amber, medium creamy off-white head. Intense buttery notes, caramel, toasty malts. Intense off-flavour. Caramel, toffee and butter flavour. Light to medium body, moderate carbonation. Light finish.

Tap, King's Caffe Krk. Hazy amber orange, smaller tan head, not lasting. Mild peachy nose, quite biscuity, slight caramel. Medium mild bitterness, peppery finish. Mild sweetness. Herbal aftertaste. Light but silky. Ok.
