Bottle kindly shared by Marko, thanks! Copper pour, off white head. Nose is sweet, bready malts and a touch of acetone. Taste is downright sour with hints of what used to be the base of the beer, pretty nice underlying hay, honey and bready malts. A shame it’s spoiled.

1.5l PET bottle filled in the brewery. Slightly opaque golden body with a lasting white head. Aroma and taste of bready malts, doughy yeast, sugar syrup, hay and floral hops. Quite classic pilsener, nice one.

0,33l bottle at home from supermarket in Retz. As "Znaimer Stadtbräu 12%". BB 09.11.2023. amber clear color, medium big white head. Smells grassy, earthy, peppery, some bubble gum, subtle spices, subtle fruitness. nice to very nice smell. medium body, subtle carbonation. Tastes grassy, earthy, peppery, tobacco, bubblegum, tad grainy, bit soapy. Finishes light to medium bitter with notes of grass, tobacco and peppery notes. very good one, easy to drink, nice bitterness.

Tap. Golden color with huge white head. Very Nice hoppy aroma with grapefruit, peach, zest, pines. Taste starts malty followed by nice hoppy kick with some citrus, floral notes, spices. Long hoppy bitter finish. Very Good.

Bottle 0.33l, many thanks, Zahír Rim Sajíd Al-Barsů zavjí Al-Zadů. Lightly cloudy, deep gold to orange colored. AROMA- malt, grain, noble hops, apricot. FLAVOR- neutral, moderately bitter, malt, grain, apricot, peach, noble hops. Medium bodied. Good.

Bottle from Pivní Mozaika. Misty coppery amber body, white head. Acetic aroma with some malty, sweetish undertones. Sour taste, some nice caramel maltiness underneath in the background, some light dark bread notes too, but gone, the light tartness killed it off. Not undrinkable even in this form, but this warrants a rerate ASAP.

Eine richtige tschechische Brauerei braucht ein Halbdunkles -auch wenn man es in Österreich verkaufen will. Dabei kommt mir vor, dass man es etwas an unseren Geschmack angepasst. So hat es nicht den oftmals intensiven malzigen Melassegeschmack sondern eher einen leichten Hopfenton. Ein gut zu trinkendes Bier, das einen tiefen Toffeton mit hopfigen Spitzen vereint. Kann man empfehlen.

Getrunken unter dem deutschen Namen Znaimer Stadtbräu Zetko. Ein Bier, das in Österreich als Bock verkauft werden würde. DIeses wird aber lediglich stärkeres 14-grädiges Bier vertrieben. Es isst fein süffig trotz der tiefen, schweren Fruchtnoten. Es ist natürlich nicht sonderlich spritzig, aber durch die gemütlichen Noten, finde ich es ganz gut.

Auch während des Lockdowns konnte man in Supermärkten in Retz, einer österreichischen Stadt in der Nähe zur Tschechischen Grenze, eine große Auswahl der Biere der neuen Znaimer Brauerei. Dabei war das gesamte Etikett inklusive Biername auf Deutsch übersetzt - da hat man den österreichischen Durst nach tschechischen Bier gut eingeschätzt. Und im Geschmack passt es wirklich dorthin. Es hat einen tollen buttrigen Beigeschmack, der ein wahrlich fein süffiges Bier erzeugt. Hat mir wirklich gut geschmeckt.
