Murky dark brown with a big fluffy dark beige colored head. Burnt malt, burnt sugar, leather, earthy notes, lemon, burnt breadcrumbs, caramel, licorice, bitter herbs. Dry roasty herbal bitterness. Medium bodied, oily texture, soft to lively carbonated, dry roasty herbal leathery earthy bitter finish. A difficult beer, very bold and intense, yet not very balanced.

12oz bottle pours a murky brown with some grey head. Nose is OK, malt, jalapeno, some cocoa. Flavor is not... slightly sour, the malt is there, some cracker too. Dry finish.

Poured a very dark brown color with a small white head. Aroma was roasted malts, with some chocolate. Sweet chocolate, coffee, pleasant vanilla notes. Liked the roast in this one actually quite a bit, even if it was infected. Bottle at the DC area socially distant Fall 2020 tasting.

Roast and light caramel. Very nice balance. Black pour with decent head and not much lacing. Bittersweet end. Seems like acidic infection others mention is gone now. Very good. Tap at Pura Vida in Holbox.
