Description
All WUNDERBRAEU beers are 100% organic and completely climate neutral. The CO2 emissions are already reduced through the use of the own water plant of the brewery. 99.5% of all ingredients are sourced from within a circle of 50km. We compensate the remaining CO2 emissions an invest in a re-forestation of a Unesco project in Costa Rica. The brewery has a tradition of crafting finest beers for more than over 500years. Using fresh and pure water from an own alpine-source, best hops and malts are creating the crisp and refreshing taste of our beers.

Wunderbraeu Dunkles, Flasche von Denns Biomarkt, Berlin. - Dunkles Kupferrot, klar. - Nase unerwartet fruchtig, leichte Kirschkonfitüre, Trockenobst (vor allem Aprikose), Datteln oder ähnlich intensive Süße; feine hopfenwürzige Hopfengrundierung. - Im Antrunk anfangs mehr Malzkaffee als Münchner Malz, leise Melanoidine, ausbalanciert durch elegante, feine Fruchtigkeit mit Trockenobst und einem Hauch Orangenschale, bis sich doch noch solides Müncher Malz zeigt. Erfreulich dezente, nur leise karamellige Süße. Milder rezent, vollmundig. Im Abgang die gleiche feine Mischung aus elegantem Malz, leiser Frucht und dezenter Hopfung. - Unkonventionelles aber gediegenes, sehr schmackhaftes Dunkles. (22.10.2024.)

Bottle, Biomarkt Garching. Light hazy golden, lively carbonation, white foam. Honey sweet grain aroma, light fruitiness and citrus. Medium light mellow body. Citric and fruity entry, some worty grain notes, hay, not unpleasant though, has a pleasant harvested field sensibility. Light apricot finish.

Bottle from the local Bioladen. Pale gold with a frothy, white head. Aroma promises lemons and honey. Taste is mildly bitter with a faint twist. Grainy bitterness and honey-like sweetness compete for the finish. Body to the light side of medium with an almost delicate feel over the tongue. Has a rather short and empty finish, but otherwise quite decent.
