Can from the Plumsteadshire online shop. Hazy gold pour with a white head. Nose is grapefruit, pulped mango, spice, kiwifruit. Taste is grapefruit, bitter herb, pine. Herby bitter finish.

Can from A Hoppy Place, Windsor. Aroma has a bitter coffee core with underlying vanilla and chocolate. Not particularly getting any currants. Glossy opaque darkest brown. Creamy beige head soon fades. Taste has a real impact of bitter and sour. The coffee alongside the currants. Ghostly vanilla flickers underneath. Medium bodied. Oily. Flat-average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. No ordinary Milk Stout. Really packs a punch. Surprised they didn't describe it as a Sour Milk Stout but I guess that doesn't have the best connotations.

Can from Seasons, Windlesham. Aroma combines bitter citrus with sweet stone fruit, grapefruit and peach. Also pine. Hazy pale orange. Thin creamy white head. Medium bitter. Tangy stone fruit sour edge tempered by underlying fruit sugar sweetness. The bitterness is more pronounced into the finish and develops a resinous streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick with a slightly pithy mouthfeel. Average carbonation. Long dry astringent finish. The brewery blurb mentioned that this was a beer that people had asked if they were brewing it again and to be fair that would be justified. A fruity NEIPA with a good dose of bitterness.

[40cl can from Longshot Barns, Sunningdale.] A hazy pale amber pour with a billowing white head; delicate floral aroma; really fruity taste, with apples, elderberries and blackberries; and a crisp finish with a subtle fruity aftertaste. Rather good.

Can from Seasons Farm Shop, Windlesham. Sweet malty doughy aroma with a yeasty edge. Light gold. Very bubbly. Thick foamy white head. Medium bitter. Sour citrus edge. Underlying sweet yeast and malts which gain prominence and add a biscuit streak. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Soft carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Did not have high hopes but the blend of bitter, sweet and sour means that the former does not dominate. Add to that a pleasant mouthfeel.
