With the main goal of producing the freshest beer, made with the highest quality ingredients, we have worked hard to provide a welcoming community hub in our taproom in Reading that welcomes any person from any background.
Can ordered from Brew Republic, Reading. Aroma has sweet sugary fruitness. Underlying grass and some tart stone fruit. Hazy pale orange. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Light-medium bitter. Zesty citrus edge, which becomes more prominent into the finish. As I drink more the bitterness is more obvious. Medium. Slick. Soft to flat carbonation. Dry slightly astringent finish. Nice. Refreshing if not particularly vibrant.
Can from Wine Rack, Burpham. Sweet malty yeasty aroma with a grassy streak. Light gold. Thick fluffy foamy white head. Initial medium bitterness. Underlying yeasty sweetness but it benefits from a zesty citrus influence. However the bitterness doesn't dull. Light-medium bodied. Slick. Average-fizzy carbonation. Long dry slightly astringent finish. Goes down well and well balanced. I like.
[33cl can from the new Farm Shop on the A30 between Sunningdale and Bagshot.] A straw coloured pour with a tight white head and a sour yeasty aroma; quite a farmyard taste with some caramel; then a grassy bitterness and a nutty, doughy finish. A nice Helles.
keg at brewdog Lothian road... golden... thin white lacing.. soft sharp tart pinnaples fruit i.. juicy tart fruit.. soft tart.. berries.. long tart fruit.
Keg at Brewdog Lothian Road. Pours light hazy golden orange with a thin white head. Aromas of coconut and pineapple, as promised. Taste is toasted coconut up front, then juicy pineapple, and a light sour tang on the finish. Fun.
Can from Beer Emporium, Sandbach Has a strong aroma of apples, yeast and lemon. Pours a clear pale yellow with a frothy white head. In the mouth texture is creamy, with low carbonation. There is an initial hint of pine before pineapple and generic citrus kick in. Finish is bitter with citrus. Pleasant enough.
Can from Hogs Back drive thru. Bug pulpy berry aroma. Hazy ruby red. Frothy pink head. Light-medium sour followed by a shift up in gear to medium. The blackcurrant is most prominent, with the apple providing am acidic edge. Underlying hints of sweetness. Light bodied. Thin. Fizzy carbonation. A dryness... 'taut' is what comes to mind. Somewhat astringent. Juicy stuff. This brewery seem to be improving.
