Nose is mixed citric zest, floral, pale malts, grass, lime nip.
Taste comprises lychee, grass, soft malts, pine nip, mandarin, pineapple.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy come grassy hop bitterness.
Tidy enough pale.

Nose is juicy tropical fruit flesh, papaya, ripe melon, mandarin.
Taste comprises orange pith, kumquat, grass, pine resin, grapefruit, mandarin.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close spliced with juicy hop bitterness.
Solid juicy and well balanced DIPA.

Can. Opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. A light palate, semi dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied dark malts but, full on flavour. Tangy dark chocolate and, a good serving of Ice Cream van chocolate syrup. Marshmallow is obvious and sweet, tastes lilw all the pink ones were thrown in here and, the white ones left out. A modest nuttyness is pitched perfectly. Light and semi dry crisp finish. Promising. Good pastry flavours but, for me, the palate needs to reflect the richness thereof. I guess we will never know now. A fine fine brewery cut down with, allegedly, debts in excess of £2M. WATF? Nice pastry!

440ml can from Left Field Beer, Solihull and shared in Kuala Lumpur. Poured a hazy yellow golden colour with a short-lived, frothy white head. The aroma is grainy, stone fruits, light piney, herbal, light orange citrus. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, somewhat rich, fresh, mineral, herbal, light creamy, light tart orange, pineapple, light dry hop bitter palate. Over medium bodied with average to soft carbonation.

Can. Near opaque dark brown beer, small bubbly tan head. Smooth palate, slightly viscous, reasonable fine carbonation on the back end, fine for this style. A lot of ice cream van dark chocolate syrup here, slightly tangy and slightly bitter. A coffee streak underneath, also bitter. Light caramel and biscuit before a tangy overripe fruity finish. Phantom were much better at the hoppy stuff but, this shows promise, certainly flavoursome but, too tangy for me to really love.

Can. A mild to medium haze on this gold beer, decent bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, a very mild dryness, good fine minerally carbonation. Slightly thin malts, smooth and delivering a light creamy sweetness. Crisp cooling pine into a light bright citrus. Decent candy fruits on the back end, thought there would be more with both Mosaic and HBC630. Light crisp finish. Refreshing.

Light malts, slightly thin, a decent sweetness, well, this is Phantom! Crisp cooling pine. Light bright citrus enhanced by light bright Motueka goodness. Light crisp finish. Light, bright and breezy. An excellent summers day beer.

Can. RIP Phantom. I guess this is my last Phantom dipa ever, sniff! Hazy orange gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, decent fine minerally carbonation coming through late on. Soft creamy sweet malts, not overdone. Hops are very well judged. Stone fruits up front but, modern Simcoe and Sabro bringing pineapple. Citra adds a little depth. Sabro rounds things off with coconut cream. Some tang to the hops fruits and light touches of hop spice and bitterness. Good dipa. Bye bye Phantom, you will be sorely missed.

Can. RIP Phantom. Near clear paleish gold beer, small bubbly pale cream colour head. Light palate, mildly dry, good fine minerally carbonation. Thin bodied pale malts, ephemeral. Good cooling pine into thin but bright hop fruits. Tastes like NS to me but, there is a little citrus and stone fruits, set waaaaay back. Crisp finish. Bright and drinkable. Perfect hot day session beer.
