Nice flip top bottle for $3! Clear yellow with thin white head. Smell of typical pils. Taste is sharp pils, bitter and pointed, typical old country pilsner. Sharpness becomes a little more moderate in the middle, but its still penetrating. Gets even a little more friendly in the end. Not bad and its in an impressive bottle. There you have it. Had their dunkle yesterday, much better than this but this stuff is definitely on style.

Got this cheap flip top bottle from Hawthorn Bottle. Pretty cheap for a flip top import. Clear darker beer, like darker iced tea. Very good initial nose makes me want to swig this stuff right from the bottle. Dark lager dunkel is one of my fave styles and this does not dissapoint. Its friendly, its fun, its easy, its civilized; just like a friendly dark beer should be. Very tasty without any hot alky content. I think the very first Iron City dark I had on tap at a local bar, way back in 1983, tasted just like this. This is very good satisfying beer, with very good carbonation, and I'm all for it.

Fles in Duitsland gekocht, thuis geprobeerd met Roelzie. Het is een helder goudgeel bier met een volle witte schuimkraag. Het heeft een typische Duitse moutige geur. De smaak is moutig en fris, zacht hoppig.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours clear golden with a thin white head. Aromas of sweet bread and floral hops. Taste is light bitter, metallic almost, green beans. Light sweet grassy finish.

Light copper colour with thin head. Aroma is very malty, quite sweet too, almost honeyed. Taste has a biscuity maltiness. Almost no bitterness.

Fles in Duitsland gekocht en thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een helder bleekgeel bier met een medium witte schuimkraag welke snel weg ebt. Het heeft een aroma van zeepsop en citrus. De smaak is citrus achtig en zoet. Ebt snel weg.

Bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden and clear with a creamy, white head. Nose - sweetly bready, honeycomb and floral. Taste - honeycomb, caramel and bready. Palate - light bodied, creamy sweet middle, but cleanses well enough on the finish. Overall - first of the day and it's a good start.

Optisch helles Gold, Seifenschaum. In der Nase recht unscheinbar. Im Trunk sehr herb, bitter, Getreide, nicht die typische Alkfrei-Süße. Mir zu bitter.
