The aroma is extremely sweet from caipirinha - like a Red Bull. The color is a slightly hazy light yellow and it has a fine lasting head. The flavor is weak at first, then turning caipirinha sweet, just to disappear fast. All in all a thin weizen added too much sweetness. If You want a beer to give You a jolt try Cambridge Brewing Co. Expresso Stout.

A very dark yellow beer, slightly cloudy with a fantastic head. The aroma is very nice dominated by yeast and wheat. The flavor is very light and soft in the beginning, then the yeast and wheat hits you and it ends on a light aftertaste. A nice beer that I'll have again if it crosses my path.

Rerate, on tap at Cardinal Pub & Bar, Stavanger. Also available there bottled. ABV is 4.8%. Very pale golden colour, large white head. Aroma of herbal and grassy German hops, also fruity notes, a hint of honey. The flavour is crisp and not too sweet, decent herbal German hops throughout, fairly bitter finish. A typical North German pilsener, very refreshing.

Re-rerate from bottle. It is out of its slumo again, back to being lively dry, crisp, fresh and moreish. Archetypucal north German pils.
Re-rate from tap. Tinny, grassy bitterhop nose. Pale golden, lacing white head. Grassy herbal start, thin tinny body, herbal finish. Sparkly body, leafy, one-dimensional pilsner. Very old rating from when this was a good beer or I thought it was: 8 4 8 4 17 A typical north-german pilsner. Very hoppy.

Flensburger introduced this pilsner when Schwarzbier became fashionable i Germany. It is a pretty ordinary north-german pilsner though - just a bit darker.
