A water colored "beer" with a disappearing white head. The aroma is primarily of citrus, but also with some notes of malt - and so is the flavor, while the end is dry and the body is thin.

(Bottle 33 cl) Comes in a fancy, clear glass bottle with the usual Flensburger swing-top. Apparently the trend in Germany these years is to brew a yuppie style beer in a yuppie style packaging. The beer is pilsener golden with a fine, creamy head. Light sweetish malt. Weird skunky flavours - to say the least - and an odd tang of...pork cracklings! 300605

(Bottle 33 cl) Clear, almost no colour - pehaps a faint resemblance to apple cider. Bubbly head that pretty much vanishes completely. Deeply unpleasant chemical smell. The flavour is completely dominated by the artificially sweetened lemon-pop - you don’t really sense the beer. Contains pleasant stuff like: "natriumcyclamat" and "saccharin-natrium" - yuck! Comes in a cool blue bottle though - one extra point for that. 300605

Brought to Croatia by a friend who lives in Germany. She was supposed to bring me this when she was last here (3 months ago), but she accidentaly left it at home. I love this kind of bottle, but this might just be the ugliest one I’ve seen of its kind, extremely worn (the beer isn’t old, the bottle is). Anyway, this pours a huge fluffy (nice) white head which disappears quickly leaving a lot of lacing. The body is...well...damn pale. Take the chamomile tea shade of yellow, and put it through a chrome filter. That’s it. I guess. It’s very fizzy, and there is a huge amount of bubbles clinging to the edge of my glass. But the fizziness and the bubbles go away as fast as the head disappears. Now, the nose....ugh. Not that nice, malt & dust. Reminds me of the Altenmünster lagers. The taste is ok very fruity and malty, balanced by a long, and harsh bitter finish. For some reason I can’t shake off the feeling that I would like this draught.

Bottle. Sour milk and banana/clove aroma. Bright yellow color - slightly cloudy with a big head. Apricot, clove and banana flavors. A well-made Weizen - not a bad ending to my German beer-tasting.

Cloudy golden color. Breadish aroma. Very simple taste, weak, a touch of sourness. Ends with a very light fruitness, really watery.

(Bottle 33 cl) Pale yellow with a fairly decent head. Pronounced bitterness and a surprisingly full body for a NAB. Pretty decent. This should be labelled as a "Low alcohol beer", since that’s what it is. 041099

(Bottle 33 cl) If the Flensburg Pils is rather bland, this fares a lot better. Reddish brown with a lovely head. Some caramel maltiness in the nose but never too sweet. Dry, moderate bitterness and very easy to drink. 280999

(Bottle 33 cl) Nice golden with a pretty decent head. A malty base with a pronounced hop-bite in the finish. Simple and solid - the way it’s done in Northern Germany. 230899

Cloudy yellow with a lasting white head. Fresh aroma, banana with a bit of hops maybe. Not so clean flavour - clearly a wheat, but I have had better from Munich.2.7

Re-rate 2010. More grain in the nose, less weizen character and no hops
