Description
Brash was founded in 2012 by Ben Fullelove, but laws at the time kept him from brewing within city limits. The Brash Brewing Company came to life when he finally decided to move to Ipswich, Massachusetts. The outdated legislation that prevented brewery owners from operating a bar were overturned the next year and in October of 2015, Brash Brewing Company opened its doors.

Bottle 650 ml at Svijet Piva. Courtesy of Vanja shared with him and the others. Pours hazy orange, white head. Caramel malty, peach, citrus, pine. Sweet with lasting bitter finish. Medium to full bodied. Actually better than expected considering it wasn’t the freshest bottle.

Dunkel hopfiger, etwas süßer Beginn, vollmundig. Leicht alkoholisch, blumig. Die Hopfigkeit verharrt auf hohem Level, etwas erdig, erst zum Ende herb, hohe Viskosität. Langer blumiger Nachgeschmack, dunkler werdend. 11/12/9/11/12/11

Thanks Iznogud & co! Dark amber body. Malt forward aroma? Yeah, past its prime. Light herbal hops. Sweet taste... damn sweet, some ice tea notes and some herbal notes do push through but this bottle is old and underwhelming. Will rerate if I find it fresh.

Bottle. Pours black with a creamy brown head that dissipates slowly to the edges. Aroma combines barrel and roasted malts with a bit of bitter chocolate and some dark grains. Flavor has roasted malts and dark grains with more of a sweet chocolate note and some bourbon backing.

Pour is a murky yellow with a small white head. Aroma is a bit of raisons, some wheat malt, sugar and oak tannins. Flavor is sweet butterscotch with some earthy malt and a bit sugar. Finish is alcohol and maybe a bit of spicy rye. This beer is all over the place. It’s a solid high alcohol beer but does not fit in any category I know of.
