On tap at Petrol. Pours a cloudy copper with medium frothy off white head that lasts. The aroma is strong floral hop and pine. Medium mouth, strong grapefruit, pine, very strong hop bite and lingering bitterness, very nice.

Collaboration brew with thick, egg-white, lacing, stable, hops-enhanced head over a pinkish, deep peach blonde beer, slightly misty. Strong hops aroma, impressions of fresh orange juice, pink grapefruit, tonic water, lime peel, freshly grated ginger, wormwood, peaches, pineapple, gin, freshly cut grass, toasted bread, cider, freshly cut chilli peppers, persimmon, rosewater, bitter honey, dry white wine, stale sweat, sea weed - all in a lovely, well-balanced way. I take my first sip with high expectations, and I am rewarded with a great flavour: exotic fruits at first fighting with equally exotic spices, minerally carbonation piercing through, drying hop bitterness and even slight saltiness unable to restrain itself and already dominating the middle phase, over a backbone of bready and slightly nutty, rounded, soft maltiness, retronasal honeyish sweetishness and of course the obiquitous hoppiness, evolving into a tongue-wrecking, peppery, citrussy, slightly salty, totally noble bitterness lasting for hours, leaving just enough room for some residual malt sweetness to creep in as well as a gin-like, warming but in no way astringent alcohol. This beer has guts, that much is clear. I adore this particular beer style and this is a mighty fine example of it. I have no idea how old it is (probably bought it online some day and as is often the case with Americans, not even a "best before" date is mentioned on the label) but it tastes as fresh as it can be. Fantastic double IPA, highly recommended.

Bomber shared by Marcus. Pours dark brn/blk with a transient tan head. Aroma of bourbon, chocolate, dark treacle. And wood. Fuyll bodied. FDlavor is bourbon, chocolate, wood, treacle, earth. And coffee. Very nice drink.
