Description
Brash was founded in 2012 by Ben Fullelove, but laws at the time kept him from brewing within city limits. The Brash Brewing Company came to life when he finally decided to move to Ipswich, Massachusetts. The outdated legislation that prevented brewery owners from operating a bar were overturned the next year and in October of 2015, Brash Brewing Company opened its doors.

Very hazy amber beer, small bubbly pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Smooth malt, touch of cream. Spicy pine hops balanced by sweet friuts, lesser tropical fruits underneath. Dry aniseed alcohol. Smooth dry finish. A mild marmalade bitter linger. Tasty if just a little rough in places.

650ml bottle. Clear amber colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, moderately lacing, off-white head. Piney, hoppy aroma, caramel malty basis, some biscuit, herbal-woody hints instead of expectable fruitiness. Taste is harsh, biting bitter hoppy, initially mastered by a caramel malty basis that eventually turns out to be too week, resulting in bitter almond notes, which on the other hand cut an alley through everything potentially around or concomitant. Clearly overdone.

Pours hazy golden orange color with off white head. Aromas of citrus and pine with some caramel. Bitter grapefruit and pine flavors with some caramel. Medium body with average carbonation. They just got this in at the bottleshop but I think it’s past it’s prime. Stale hops and malts dominate.
