bottle. pitch dark, dark brown smooth head. Aroma is dominated by dark roasted malts and coffee. Flavor has some coconut (not the sweet part) wood. also sweet licorice. I can't find cognac specifically, but some booze probably in the very complex and quite well balanced yet very strong flavor. Coffee works very well in this one, not being too much, but adding bitterness and complexity. Yet again a great black beer from blackout.

can 11% aroma resembles dark brown chocolate cake with a little bit of apples, vanilla, roasted malts. bourbon is well blended into the aroma and does not present itself alone or distinctly. flavor is roasted malts, vanilla, peppery spicy note, honey like note (the maple syrup I guess). sort of like freshly baked not very sweet dark chocolate cake. very tasty.

Bottle from mikkeller web shop. Aroma is deep coca, fresh cocoa, bounty before it gets oxiized, the raw coconut cut open in brazil at a beach bar. COOOOCOOOONUUUUUUT. And some malts to balance. Flavor is very smooth very well balanced coconut centered imp stoutiness, super well balanced , barrelling adds a little sweetness that the coca perfectly picks up... awesome. I have had better beers but they are few and far between.

bottle from mikkeller shop. wood, old port wine, roasted malts, salty wood, barralled beer, port wine cellar, wow. this aroma brings back memories from the darkest places... awesome. licorice. on and on. great very complex very port wine cellary century old barreled beer like aroma. flavor is roasted malts, vanilla, honey or syrup, licorice, salty wood. ovewhelming flavor, but it sort of splits up in individual flavors, they never entirely combine to a whole. aftertaste is phenomenal with licorice sweet malts and rye and brown sugar. A complex beer with lots of flavors to adventure into, it all just doesn't come together perfectly, still, absolutely worth your time and money - I don't know if they do these in small batches, but they sure feel like extreme craftmanship.

440ml can. Sweet, ripeish tropical fruity and grassy hoppy with some petroly notes, citrus, floral hay and grapefruit. A bit sweet and stuffy.

Can, 8%. Hazy yellow with small white head. Aroma is malt, fruit, hop, citrus and tropical fruit. Flavour is malt, fruit, hop, citrus, sweet, fruit peel, orange and a little bitter.

Tap.Dark orange colour with medium fluffy white head.Aroma of freshly dry hops and citrus,mild wet tobacco,flavors as well,good mild dusty finish.
