Another delayed flight at DIA, another overpriced beer at the Chophouse - dark amber/brown - flavor is fairly rich Munich maltiness, but there is also a fair amount of huskiness, a bit of undue bitterness, and a finish that is somewhat tangy and metallic, bordering on sour - why did I order a 20 ounce of this?

Tap at the DIA location - clear straw color - frothy, sticky lace - nose has a strong mineral bite and a nice honeyed maltiness, but the use of American hops also creates an odd citrus character I do not want in my Dortmunder - the same can be said of the flavor - moderate mineral, mildly sweet honey malt flavor, light toasted grain - but there is a strongly citric American hop flavor that makes this taste more like an American lager - a lot of lingering, undue bitterness in the finish - meh.
